This was the first event we had organised. Unfortunately, we forgot to organise good weather! The majority of the event was marred by wet weather which added additional water to an already very soggy course.

Thank you to Peter Hornsby, Controller, and Chris Phillips, Planner, who were incredibly helpful and were very good at answering our numerous e-mails ahead of the event taking place.

A big thank you to all the LEI helpers who did a tremendous job, in particular those who helped on the start, finish, road crossing and car parking and had to endure the inclement weather. We would also like to thank all competitors who obeyed the farmer's rules and walked through the field without upsetting his livestock. The day ran smoothly despite the weather thanks to the support of all involved.

I hope everybody enjoyed the event. We will order good weather next time we organise an event (but don't quote us on this!).
