This event has been designed to suit newcomers as well as experienced orienteers. So please bring a friend and introduce them to the sport. Entry fees to the newcomer’s score course are reduced to £1.50 with free dibber hire. Please enter your friends online.

Enter 3 days before the event to guarantee a map. Pay the entry fee to The Start Kite (account details will be displayed on screen when you confirm your entry).
Late entries and Entry on the Day: This is possible via The Start Kite depending on map availability. No cash entry on the day.

A Score course Find as many controls as you can in the time limit. 10 points for each one found, but lose 10 points for every minute or part minute late – e.g. visit 15 controls for 150 points, but if you take 29 mins 10 seconds (effectively 5 minutes late), you lose 50 points.
Course Distances: These are straight line distances. Expect to run up to 10% longer.
Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of competitors. However, participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
Summer League 2023
The 2023 LEI Summer League consists of 16 events taking place from April to August on midweek evenings . They include Long, Score, Sprint and Urban events. Your top 10 scores count on the league table. See the Summer League page for the full list of fixtures and the current league table.
Control Collection: Volunteers willing to collect in a few controls each after the courses close would be much appreciated.
