Terrain: A typical Country Park which was once part of a large coal mine. A mixed forest with some well-developed and permanent internal roads and paths. Also, a number of lakes and ponds and so an area of woodland and wetland birds. After rain the woodland areas may be muddy. In MID SUMMER Sence Valley is a prime example of the propensity in Leicestershire for significant nettles and Brambles. All off-track areas are affected so you may wish to consider route choices, even in rough open and particularly vegetation areas. The planning has and will be taking this phenomenon in to account.
There are ponds on the map which are not crossable.
