Event Details

MapRun: The control sites have no visible controls (one or two might have a POC plaque!). Instead the Start, Finish and all control sites are identified by a GPS signal on your phone. The signal can be received within a few metres of the feature marked on your map. Advice and assistance will be available for anyone new to MapRun.

App: All participants need a smart phone with the MapRun or MapRunG App. Download App.

Entry: Book a map using the entry system below. Load the app before the event. Map are published on Maprun site, note published course names are (Yellow, Light Green & Long) suggest download beforehand.

Courses: Suitable for newcomers as well as experienced orienteers.

Courses Close: 7.45pm (sunset: 8.00pm)

Planner: The MapRun courses will be designed by Roger Edwards.

Terrain: Parkland with small wooded areas and some long grass & Nettles in the Arboretum. Quite a lot of road crossings so take care.

Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of competitors. However, participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

Privacy & Personal Data: When entering events your personal details (name, age, gender, club) may appear in the results section on this website. It may also be used to contact you regarding this event including to trace missing runners.
